How to Get Around Proxy Avoidance
Often, either at work or school, a server will be in place that will block the access of specific websites. These sites are typically social networks such as Facebook or Myspace. In order to get around the server issue, a user may use a Proxy server. A Proxy will block the IP address of the computer, which will all allow it to bypass the blockers set up by the server. Occasionally a Proxy site will have been placed on the server's blacklist, preventing the site from being brought up. However, there are always new Proxy sites being created, making it almost completely impossible for a server to block all of them.

Log on to the web browser.

Navigate to one of the links in "Additional Resources." These are all sites that should allow a user to bypass any proxy avoidance placed on the server. If one doesn't load, proceed to the next available link.

Type the desired URL in the search bar within the Proxy site. This brings up the site within the Proxy. As long as you keep your searches within the Proxy site, all websites visited will be masked. Do not type the website address in the actual URL space on the web browser. This will take you out of the Proxy site.

Tips & Warnings
There are a few different websites that will not grant access while using a Proxy site because it requires an IP address to be present. With the IP address blocked by the Proxy, the website will not detect it and will block access to its content.
