Remove any furniture or decorations from the area where you spotted the black bathroom mold to find out just how bad the problem is. If the black bathroom mold is on drywall, you may need to replace the drywall to get rid of the mold completely and stop it from coming back.

Put on a respirator mask when you start to clean the black bathroom mold. This mold releases spores just like any other type of mold, but black bathroom mold spores may be toxic and could cause you to become extremely ill.

Mix liquid detergent such as dish soap or liquid laundry detergent into a bucket of warm water and stir it to create suds.

Scrub the soapy water onto the black bathroom mold with a scrub brush. Keep scrubbing until all of the black bathroom mold is removed, and rinse your scrub brush in the bucket as often as necessary.

Empty the bucket and refill it with cold water and 1/2 cup of chlorine bleach.
