Decide on a theme. Before you consider how to decorate your reception hall, you must have a theme in mind. Sticking to a theme will help you stay on track when deciding on large and small decor choices. Some themes you can choose for a fall wedding include fall leaves, autumn harvest, fall flowers or autumn woodland.

Choose linens. Some reception halls might provide plain white linens for guest tables and banquet tables, but that doesn't mean you can't dress them up with something different.
