How to Organize a Moms' Outing
Regardless of whether they have one, two or more children, mothers are extremely busy individuals, and rarely receive the opportunity to take a break from the sometimes stressful daily responsibilities of parenthood. Planning a moms' outing is a wonderful way for mothers to connect with each other, relax, talk about their feelings and vent frustrations. No matter how much a person loves her job, everyone needs a vacation from time to time ... especially mothers.

1
Brainstorm what locations, dates and times might be good for the moms' outing. Restaurants are a popular setting -- that way, none of the moms have to cook -- but other possible locations include parks, a day spa, the movie theater, a shopping mall or another mom's home. Check with each mom to find out where she'd like to go, and what day and time would best fit her schedule.
-
2
Write a list in your notebook of the moms you'd like to invite. Invite moms who have something in common, such as those whose children attend the same school or moms who live in the same neighborhood.

3
Contact all of your potential guests with information about the outing. You may have to make several phone calls,or send repeat e-mails, to coordinate all of the outing details and all the moms' schedules, especially as the event draws closer.
-
4
Follow up with all the potential guests to see who is able to attend and who can't make it. Cross names off your list as you receive each response. About a week before the event, send an e-mail or make phone calls to remind the moms about the outing.

5
Make reservations, if necessary. Some moms may have food allergies or other dietary restrictions, so if you're getting together at a restaurant, be sure these moms' needs are accommodated.
