A brand that represents luxury, Coach purses are made of only high quality materials. Counterfeiters have tried to perfect the look and design of the purse, but they cannot replicate the exact look because it would cost them too much money. When inspecting a Coach purse for its authenticity, you will need to have a close eye for detail.       Find the serial number. If the bag has a serial number, then look to see if the serial number is in fact real. Authentic Coach purses will have a serial number that begins with "No." and has four numbers that follow a dash. Look for the leather patch inside the purse. It will contain the serial number.

      Examine the zippers on the Coach purse. The zippers will have "YKK" embossed on all of them. If the zippers feel cheap, and do not contain these three letters, then the purse more than likely is a fake.

      Check the fabric inside the coach purse. Cotton or satin makes up the interior of the purse. If the satin material has the word "Coach" printed onto it, then the purse might be a fake. Typically, Coach purses will print the standard double "C" logo on the purse's interior.

      Inspect the stitching on the purse. The leather on the zipper will have one or two stitches. The stitches on the entire purse will appear tight and uneven. If the stitches look crooked or loose, then you may be looking a fake Coach purse.
