How to Add Plugins to Photoshop Elements 6
Photoshop Elements is a popular graphics editing application developed by Adobe Systems. Designed as a lightweight version of the company's professional-grade Photoshop software, Photoshop Elements allows casual users to create and edit images, apply filters and effects, adjust sizing and color modes, add shapes and text, and much more. Whether you use a Windows or Mac OS X computer, adding plug-ins to Photoshop Elements is a quick process once you understand where to place them.

Add Plug-Ins Using Windows

Close Photoshop Elements.

Right-click your plug-in file, or the folder containing your plug-in file, and select "Copy."

Navigate to your desktop and double-click the "Computer" icon. This icon is labeled "My Computer" in Windows XP and earlier Windows versions.

Double-click the C: drive icon and open the following sub-folders: "Program Files" > "Adobe" > "Photoshop Elements" > "Plug-Ins."

Right-click within the "Plug-Ins" folder and select "Paste." With the plug-in file added to the appropriate folder, Photoshop Elements will automatically load the plug-in the next time the program launches.

Close Photoshop Elements.

Highlight your plug-in file, or the folder containing your plug-in file, and press the "Command" and "C" keys simultaneously to copy the file.

Open the "Applications" folder and then open the following sub-folders: "Adobe Photoshop Elements" > "Plug-Ins."

Press the "Command" and "V" keys simultaneously to paste the file. With the plug-in file added to the appropriate folder, Photoshop Elements will automatically load the plug-in the next time the program launches.
