You can add music to a PowerPoint 2007 slideshow.

Using Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007, you can insert your own music into a slideshow. This music can be set to play automatically when you show a certain slide or when you click on a sound icon embedded in a certain slide. Music can also be set to play on just one slide or over a number of slides throughout the show.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate to the slide where you want to embed the music clip.

    • 2

Click on the "Insert" menu and choose "Movies and Sounds."

    • 3

Click "Insert a sound file," navigate to the location where your music clip is stored and double-click to insert it.

    • 4

Choose whether you want the music to play automatically when the slide is shown or only when the sound icon on the slide is clicked.

    • 5

Right-click the sound icon that appears on your slide and choose "Custom Animation."

    • 6

Click the arrow next to your sound clip in the Custom Animation list and choose "Effect Options."

    • 7

Choose your "Stop playing" preference. "On-click" will stop the music when you click on the slide. "After current slide" will stop the music when you leave the slide. "After" will allow the music to play for a number of slides--just enter the total number of slides that you want the music to play on.
