How to Treat Clear Acrylic With Anti-Static
Clear acrylic must be perfectly clean before it is bent or painted. However, the packing materials that carry acrylic tend to cause the sheets to develop a static charge that makes dirt and dust stick to the acrylic. - Lint-free cloth
- Anti-static treatment

Make sure you have the right type of cleaning rag. It should be lint-free and non-abrasive.

Dry-dust the acrylic sheet. Use the chamois to wipe away dirt and dust that is already clinging to the sheet.

Squirt the lint-free cloth with the anti-static treatment. Hold the spray six to eight inches away from the cloth and spritz it several times.

Wipe down the sheet with the dampened cloth. Use smooth, circular motions and make sure that you cover every part of the acrylic. The anti-static cleaner will help keep the acrylic free of dust between treatments and cleanings if it is thoroughly applied. When you are done, you should not be able to see any smears on the acrylic. If you can, go over the entire sheet with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth until it is completely clear.
