Conditioner helps your hair stay smooth and soft and repairs damage and split ends. With so many different types of conditioners on the market, it can be difficult to know which work best. Leave-in hair conditioners are a suitable option for badly damaged hair.

Look for a high quality leave-in conditioner. Products with sunscreen are a good choice since they protect your tresses from UV damage.

Wash your hair with shampoo as you normally would. Avoid using a rinse-out conditioner.

Squeeze any excess water out of your hair and lightly towel dry before applying the leave-in conditioner.

Using a small amount, work the conditioner through your hair, paying special attention to the ends.

Allow the hair to dry, then style as usual.

Tips

  • Since the ends of your hair are more prone to damage, be sure to cover them with the conditioner thoroughly. This should make your hair look silky smooth.

  • Just because a leave in conditioner is expensive doesn't mean it's any better than a brand you can find at your local drug store.
