on 12/9/2005 Libertarians believe that you have the right to live your life as you wish, without the government interfering -- as long as you don't violate the rights of others.
BTW, most of us are in our 40's or older, not Internet nerd kids as the previous post inferred. Old enough to remember a time when the government didn't try to control every aspect of the individuals life, as it does today.

on 12/9/2005 The Libertarian Party is viewed by many as a one-issue party: namely, the repeal of current drug laws. Sometimes it is viewed as a two-issue party, with gun rights as a secondary issue. For the LP to grow and flourish, it will need to break free from this general perception.

on 11/22/2005 The reason the Libertarian Party receives so few votes come election time is because most Libertarians are not old enough to vote yet. Most of them are internet nerds who grow up to be either Republicans or welfare recipients (sometimes both).
