How Can I Get a Copy of My GED in Michigan?

Download the Michigan GED Transcript Request Form from the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth website. Print the form and fill out all the fields. You will need to provide your name, date of birth, Social Security number, and the month and date that you took the exam. You will also be asked to check a reason for why you are requesting the transcript.

Contact the Department of Labor and Economic growth if your transcript does not arrive within seven to 10 business days after you requested it. Call the department at 517-373-1692.

Tips & Warnings
To speed up the process, fax the Michigan GED Transcript Request form to the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth at 517-335-3461.
Always request a copy of your Michigan GED transcript at least one week before you need it because it can take that long to receive it. If you took the test before 1979, it could take even longer.
