How to Add a Ringtone to a Motorola Phone
When first purchasing your Motorola phone you have several preset ringtones available to you. However you may not like these ringtones and want to upload your own to the phone. There are many sources available on the Internet that allow you to purchase or download ringtones to your computer. Once you have the ringtones, you need to upload the tones to your Motorola phone.

Open your web browser and navigate to the Motorola wireless cell phone page (see References). Select the "Support" option, then search for your model of phone.

Chose your operating system and click the "Download" link next to the phone drivers for your computer. The driver download will begin.

Double-click the downloaded file to open the driver installation wizard. Leave the defaults as is, then select "Install." The drivers will install onto your computer.

Plug the USB data cable into the power port of your Motorola phone (this is the same port where you insert the charger). Connect the other end of the cable into any available USB port on the computer.

Click the "Start" button, followed by either "My Computer" or "Computer." Double-click the removable device icon to open the Motorola phone window.

Click-and-drag the ringtones from your computer (located in whatever folder you saved the ringtones to) into the open window. Once the file transfer is finished close out the Motorola phone window, right-click the removable device icon and select "Eject."
