- All-purpose kitchen surface cleaner
- Soft cleaning cloth
- Soft, lint-free towel
- KitchenAid Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish (optional)

Turn all burners off. Turn off the attached stove if applicable. Allow the cooktop to cool completely. Remove burner grates if necessary.

Use a paper towel to wipe away spills, especially acidic liquids such as vinegar or tomato sauce, as soon as the cooktop cools.

Spray all-purpose kitchen surface cleaner on the cooktop, then wipe away with a damp, soft cloth, rubbing in the direction of the grain. Dry completely, rubbing in the direction of the grain, using a soft, lint-free towel.

Apply KitchenAid Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish as necessary to get the cooktop completely clean and restore the new finish. Using a soft cloth, wipe the cleaner and polish in the direction of the grain.

Replace the burner grates when the cooktop is completely clean and dry.

If you don't have all-purpose kitchen surface cleaning spray on hand, you can substitute a small amount of dishwashing detergent to clean the cooktop. Rinse well and dry completely.
