  1. Windows XP and Earlier

      Power off both your laptop and Xbox 360.

      Connect your laptop and 360 using your ethernet cord, then power on both your laptop and 360.

      Click "Start" or the Windows icon. In XP or earlier, click "Settings" and then "Network Connections."

      Wait as your laptop establishes a connection with your 360. Once it has, the screen will read "Connected" under the "LAN Connections" section.

      Right-click on the "LAN Connections" option.

      Select "Advanced" in the contextual menu and click "Bridge Connections." This will complete the connection process, and your Xbox 360 will now be Internet-ready.
