How to Modify Your In-Game WoW Character
Staring at the same avatar day in and day out can grow tiring. Luckily, "World of Warcraft" players have two options to modify their in-game characters. If you are seeking cosmetic changes, such as a new hairstyle, you can visit a barbershop in several of the game's larger cities. If you want further modifications, like a different gender or a brand new face, you can use the "Character Re-Customizer" available at the World of Warcraft home page.

Log into “World of Warcraft” using the character whose appearance you wish to change.

Visit one of the barbershops in Azeroth. Barbershop locations include the Trade District of Stormwind City, the Commons in Ironforge, the Cleft of Shadow in Orgrimmar, Area 52 of Netherstorm, and Dalaran, near the Sunreaver's Sanctuary.

Right click to sit in the barber chair and open the appearance change menu.

Select a new hairstyle, hair color, and limited facial features (such as facial hair on men and jewelry on women) by clicking the arrows on the menu to cycle through your available options. You cannot choose a new gender, race, or class in the barbershop menu. Click “Reset” to return to your character's original look.

Click “Ok” when you are finished making changes. You will be charged the amount listed in the menu for the alterations, so make sure you have enough gold, silver, and copper to cover the transaction.
Character Re-Customization

Go to the "World of Warcraft" website or Battlenet site and log into your World of Warcraft account.

Click “Character Re-Customization” from the “Paid Services” menu, located on the left side of your account information. Click “Continue” to confirm your selection. Select the "Realm" your character is, and then click “Customize” next to your character's information.

Input your name, zip code, and credit card information. Click “Finalize” to approve the transaction.

Log into “World of Warcraft" and the character selection screen will have a button labeled “Re-Customize.” Click it to enter the customization screen.

Select new facial features, hairstyle and color, or gender for your character. Enter a new name if you choose. Click “Ok” to accept the changes and begin playing as your newly modified character.

Tips & Warnings
You cannot change the race or class of your character through any character customization options. To play as a new class or race, you must create a new character to play as.
You can only use the Character Re-Customization options once every 30 days.
