How to Flash the BIOS on a Gateway ML6230

Updating the BIOS on your Gateway ML6230 laptop computer can help increase the stability of your system. Flashing your computer's BIOS to the latest version isn't a difficult process, but before you begin, you should ensure that you have a full backup of your computer files, in case something goes wrong.

Instructions

1. Download the Gateway BIOS update for your ML6230 from Gateway's official driver download website. Save this file somewhere easy to remember, such as to your computer's desktop.

2. Create a backup of any important files on your computer. You can save these files to something like a USB flash drive or an external hard drive.

3. Double-click the EXE file you downloaded to begin the BIOS flashing process.
