      Go to any Michigan Secretary of State (SOS) branch offices. All owners listed on the vehicle title are required to go to the office to sign the duplicate title application. If it is not possible for all owners to go, an Appointment of Agent form should be completed. This form allows the appointed person to sign on behalf of the other owners.

      Complete and sign a duplicate title application and questionnaire. There is a $15 charge for your duplicate title. You will also need your driver’s license or state ID card to show proper identification. You may be required to provide registration to show proof of vehicle ownership.
