Snow Angel Directions

Snow Angel Directions thumbnail
Snow angels are a simple form of snow sculpture.

Snow angels are perhaps the simplest form of snow sculpture. They, along with snowmen, are also among the most timeless family traditions when snow falls in the winter. They are so simple to make that even young children can be taught to create these simple pieces of snow art and in moments will be delighting in their work.

Instructions

    • 1

Bundle up. You will be lying on your back in the snow and moving. Snow can get in the waistline of pants, the hem of pant legs and sleeves, and even in boots if you're not careful. Be sure to dress for maximum coverage and warmth.

    • 2

Lay on your back in the snow, with your legs straight and arms at your sides. Make sure your whole body is in contact with the ground.

    • 3

While keeping contact with the ground, move your legs apart and your arms up toward your head, then back into the original position several times. This motion creates the large arms and legs of the angel's "robes."

    • 4

Stand up and carefully step away so as not to destroy your creation.
