How to Fill Out a MoneyGram Money Order

MoneyGram money orders can be bought at financial institutions, supermarkets and from several other retailers. Places that offer MoneyGram money orders will usually post MoneyGram advertisements on their storefronts. You should fill out your money order immediately after you purchase it to avoid complications. Be careful when you are filling out your MoneyGram money order -- you can not alter it after it is filled out. If you make a mistake, you'll have to submit a claim card.

Instructions

1. Write the name of the person or the business you need to pay on the "Pay to the Order of" line. Don't write anything else on this line.

2. Sign your first and last name on the "Purchaser Sign Here" line. Write clearly so your name is easily readable.

3. Write your complete address on the "Address" line. Don't forget to include your zip code.

4. Include your account number (or any other necessary bill-paying information) next to your signature or above your address.

5. Tear off the receipt stub before you remit the payment. Keep the receipt in a safe place in case you need it later.

• When mailing a MoneyGram money order, it's a good idea to fold the money order over, or even place another blank piece of paper around it

• This makes it so people can't tell as easily that you're mailing a money order

• Thieves can't steal what they don't see!
