How Can I Open Outlook 2007 Attachments Without Having to Save Them First?
Outlook 2007 allows users to view attachments before saving them. There are a few ways to do this and it is very easy to do. To open an attachment, you must have the appropriate program already installed on your hard drive. For example, if the attachment is a Microsoft Word document, you must have Microsoft Word to open the attachment.

Open Attachment in the Reading Pane

Select the message with the attachment from the message list.

Double-click the attachment in the Reading Pane window. The Reading Pane window will allow you to see the attachment without opening it.

Choose "Open" if you are given an option between opening and saving the attachment.
