Directions for Making Candle Rings
Adding a decorative floral ring around a pillar candle creates a beautiful centerpiece. Intertwine dried berries, herbs and flower sprigs to match the season and the candle's scent. When you start your candle ring with a simple grapevine wreath, the foundation of the centerpiece is already finished. Get creative with silk leaves and bittersweet in autumn, poinsettia leaves and holly berries for Christmas or a generous assortment of pastel blossoms for springtime. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Grapevine wreath (8- to 10-inch diameter)

- Spanish moss
- Glass candle holder

Instructions
-
-
1
Place the grapevine wreath onto the plate.
-
2
Insert Spanish moss into the center of the wreath and push it down firmly so it fills up the center of the wreath attractively, yet does not fill it completely.
-
-
3
Place the glass candle holder into the center of the wreath on top of the Spanish moss. Set the pillar candle in the candle holder.
-
4
Arrange the cinnamon sticks, dried berries and dried flowers attractively in and among the grapevines of the wreath. Fill the wreath up so that there are no empty spaces and the decorations are even around the entire wreath.
-
5
Hot-glue each item you placed onto the grapevine wreath in step 4. Apply a generous amount of glue so that each item stays in place.
-
6
Place a dollop of hot glue on the backside of the floral bow and position the bow onto the wreath. If the bow has long tails of ribbon, weave the tails into the wreath to add additional decor to the candle ring.
-
7
Cut a 10-inch length of matching ribbon and tie it in a bow around the pillar candle, near the bottom.

Tips & Warnings
If you burn the candle, never leave it unattended. Blow the candle out well before it reaches the point where the ribbon encircles the candle.
