If small enough, a WAV file can be sent through email. However, in many cases WAV files are too large to be attached to an email. In cases where you need to send a large WAV file, media sharing websites such as Sendspace and Mediafire can be used. Both websites are free of charge to use.

Send a WAV File Through Email

Log in to your email account.

Create a new email and type the recipient’s email address into the “To” form.

Click the “Attach Files” button, which is typically illustrated by a paper clip.

Browse through your computer files and select the WAV file you would like to send.

Click “Send,” and you will have successfully sent a WAV file through email.

Send a WAV File Through Sendspace

Navigate to the Sendspace website. (See Resources.)

Click “Browse” and select the WAV file you would like to send.

Enter a description for the WAV file, your email address and the recipient’s email address into the form provided.

Click “Upload File” and your WAV file will be uploaded to the Sendspace server. This process could take anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes, depending on the size of the WAV file. After the file has finished uploading, a link to the WAV file will be emailed to the recipient's email you submitted. You have now successfully sent a WAV file through Sendspace.

Send a WAV File Through Mediafire

Navigate to the Mediafire website. (See Resources.)

Click the “Upload to Mediafire (without an account)” button. Then click the box that says “Click here to upload.”

Browse to select the WAV file you would like to send. Then click "Open."

Click the “Begin Uploading Files” button and your WAV file will be uploaded to the Mediafire server. This process could take anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes, depending on the size of the WAV file. When finished uploading, click “Go to My Files.”

Click the “Share” button on the page that loads. Then copy the link in the “Sharing URL” box. Send this link to anyone you wish to send the WAV file to. You have now successfully sent a WAV file through Mediafire.
