You can watch satellite television anywhere in your home. This includes the upstairs attack all the way down to your basement. However, when using satellite to obtain your television programs, you do need to have a satellite receiver connected to the television. This includes a TV in your bedroom, if you enjoy watching TV before going to bed or while getting dressed for work.

      Contact your satellite provider and ask for a receiver to be installed in your bedroom. You need to set up an available day and time frame for when the satellite technician can stop by and install the satellite dish attachment for the extra room and set up the receiver.

      Connect the coaxial cable running out of the wall in your bedroom into the "In" port on the rear of the satellite receiver.

      Plug the three RCA cables into the "Video Out" ports on the satellite receiver. Make sure the yellow cable is inserted into the yellow port and the red and white ones are plugged into the red and white ports.

      Connect the other end of the RCA cables into the "Video In" ports on the back of the television.

      Power on the receiver box and the television, then press the "Input" button and select "Video." You can now view the satellite receiver on your TV.
