Massage olive oil into your greasy hair. Allow the oil to sit on your hair for a few minutes; cover with a shower cap, if desired. The olive oil will begin to dissolve the congealed grease.

2
Shake a bit of cornstarch into your hands and distribute through your hair.

-
3
Allow the cornstarch to absorb the olive oil and grease for a few moments.
-
4
Gently comb out the cornstarch from your hair over a trash can.

5
Step into the shower and wet your hair thoroughly.
-
6
Squirt a small amount of dishwashing liquid onto your hand. Lather the dishwashing soap into your hair in the same way you would use shampoo. The detergents in dishwashing liquid are stronger than in regular shampoo.
-
7
Rinse throughly and squeeze extra water from your hair. Test to see if it still feels greasy. If it still does, repeat Step 6.

Tips & Warnings
Adding a small squirt of lemon juice to your shampoo can help dissolve grease and help deodorize hair. Avoid exposing lemon-soaked hair to direct sunlight, however; the acids in lemon juice combined with light can bleach hair.
