How to Bypass the Filter on Cable
Cable boxes that are connected to a television with a coaxial cable will need to use channel 3 or 4 on the television to view the signal from the cable box. This means that there may be a highpass filter installed that will remove channels 2, 3 and 4 to allow the cable box to work properly. You can bypass the need to use a highpass filter with your cable box by connecting it to your television with a component audio and video cable.
