How to Hang Pew Flowers & Bows
Pew markers and flowers are an elegant part of the church decorations in a wedding ceremony. The decorative accents frame the bridal parties' trail as they process down the aisle and highlight the outline of the aisle itself. Choose colors that coordinate with your bridal party colors or go with a simple white flower and ribbon to coordinate with the bride.
Things You'll Need
- Ribbons and bows
- Flowers
- Pew markers/clips
- Oasis foam block (optional)
- Tape (optional)

Decorating the Aisle
-
1
Check with the church where the ceremony will be held to familiarize yourself with the rules and regulations on decorating church-owned items such as pews.
-
2
Snap the pew clips onto the outside edges of the pews. Avoid using any harsh materials such as wire or heavy-duty tape as these could damage the wood of the pews.
-
-
3
Insert the flowers into the Oasis foam blocks, which are blocks that keep flowers fresh and hydrated throughout the ceremony but hinder any dripping water that could cause damage to the pews.
-
4
Clip a bow or ribbon to the pew clip or the flowers, or gently adhere them to the tops of the pews with a mild tape. Test the tape prior to decorating to ensure it will be sturdy but will not damage the pews.
-
5
Wind the ribbon from pew to pew, if desired, or merely keep each pew's ribbon and bow decorations individual to each pew.

Great idea, everyone enjoys the beauty and fragrance of flowers on wedding aisles. Here's another idea, for double-duty aisle flowers. Arrange flowers in vases that hang from the wedding aisle, move them to the reception and repurpose as centerpieces and favors.
