How to Set Up a DBA Company in MS

A DBA company, or Doing Business As, is a way for a company to do business under a name other than its legal name. This is typically utilized when a business wants to keep their services separate, such as a clothing company using a DBA for their art products line. As of February 2010, the state of Mississippi does not require businesses to register their DBA business name. While there are no formal filing requirements there is still a way to register your DBA company to prevent other businesses from operating under your DBA name.
