How to Remove an LSDA Deadbolt
Removing an LSDA deadbolt may look impossible because there seem to be no visible screws. The screws on an LSDA deadbolt are either hidden behind the plate on the inside portion of the lock or within the cylinder itself. You will need to look at the door edge to see if there is a removable faceplate over the latch. If you have the removable faceplate you will need your lock key. Does this Spark an idea?

Locate a small hole on the side of the thumb lock on the inside portion of the deadbolt. Bend a paper clip straight and insert the end of the paper clip into the hole to release the thumb lock knob. Pull the thumb lock straight off the deadbolt.
-
8
Insert a flathead screwdriver in between the back cover plate and side edge of the inner portion of the deadbolt lock. Pry the plate off and you will see the two screws securing the lock together to the door.

Remove the two screws with a Phillips-head screwdriver. The screws are threaded into sleeves on the outer portion of the deadbolt lock, much like a standard doorknob. Removing the screws will enable you to pull both the inner and outer portions of the deadbolt lock away from the door.
