How to Back Up PSX Playstation 1 Games on a Soft Modded PS2

The Sony Playstation2 is a home video game console capable of 3D graphics and multiplayer games. With the introduction of the HDLoader soft mod disk for the PS2, backing up your PSX and PS2 games to the PS2 hard drive is very simple. You can keep an unlimited number of games on your PS2 hard drive, saving your originals from scratches and debris that might make the game unplayable.

Things You'll Need

• HDLoader disk
• PS2 hard drive

Instructions

1. Turn on your Sony Playstation2 and insert your HDLoader disk into the PS2 disk drive. Because the HDLoader disk is pressed in the same manner as original PS2 disks, the PS2 will be able to load the disk easily.

2. Select the disk from the PS2 menu and wait for HDLoader to boot up. Select "Install" from the HDLoader menu and HDLoader will ask you to remove the HDLoader disk and insert your game disk. Insert the PS1 game disk. Installation will start when the PS2 begins to read the disk.

3. Wait as HDLoader completes the backup. It will notify you when the process is complete. Remove the disk and select the game from the list that appears. Your game will begin to play.
