Inspect the rollers inside the bottom channel of the patio screen door panel. If the rollers have damage or show a lot of wear, replace the rollers. Insert a flathead screwdriver under the end of each roller to pry the roller assembly out of the door channel.

Take the old roller assemblies to the hardware store when you go to purchase new assemblies. Each manufacturer of sliding doors and sliding screen doors uses a different type of roller. You must get a set that matches your old ones.

Push the new assemblies into place in the bottom of the door channel. Find the adjustment screw on the outer edge or lower panel of the patio screen door. Turn the screw counterclockwise with a flathead screwdriver to engage the roller assemblies.

Spray a few shots of lubricant on the rollers if you are not replacing the rollers. The lubricant will make the rollers glide more freely.

Lift the patio screen panel into position and insert the top of the panel into the upper track. Push the bottom of the panel toward the door and set the rollers inside the lower track.

    • 7
