How to Handle a 4X8 Sheet of Plywood
Many home projects are easier and faster when two people can share the job. Unfortunately, a second person is not always close-by to lend a helping hand. At times like these, bying creative is the only option to make a task easier. Dragging, pushing and pulling awkward sheets of plywood will strain your back and cause frustration. Tie the ends of a 20-foot rope together. Stretch the rope on the floor and visually mark the center of the rope.

Balance the plywood upright on one 8-foot edge.

Loop the rope around the two bottom corners of the board. The rope will cross each corner at an angle.

Grab the center of the double rope with one hand and balance the top of the board with the opposite hand.

Lift the plywood up using the rope handle and carry the plywood.

Tips & Warnings
You also can lift the board by reaching over the top and grabbing the rope handle. Reaching over the top works well for a taller person.
Wear gloves to protect your hands from wood slivers.
