How to Attach Lingerie to an Umbrella for a Bridal Shower Gift

Instructions

1. Open the umbrella fully.

2. Tie each piece of lingerie to a spoke with a small length of ribbon. Panties can be tied through the leg hole, and camisoles can be tied through the shoulder straps.

3. Unlatch the umbrella so that you can bring the spokes in.

4. Arrange the lingerie so that the pieces lie down flat inside the umbrella.

5. Close the umbrella, securing it with the snap. If there is no snap on the umbrella, tie it closed with the ribbon. Allow the bride to open the umbrella over her head. The lingerie will fall down around her.

Tips & Warnings

• Do not use an automatic or compact umbrella. Instead, look for a traditional umbrella that has a rigid shaft and a relatively simple system of spokes that support the canopy. Ideally, the umbrella will have a small cord with a snap button that will hold the spokes close to the shaft.
