How to Prepare a Zip File From Lifetouch
Lifetouch is a photo portrait studio with locations all over the country. Usually the company focuses on school portraits but you have other types of photos taken. You may receive a digital copy of the image taken by Lifetouch. These images are often large files. If you want to shrink the files down and email them to friends and family, you need to "zip" the file.

1
Locate the Lifetouch digital image on your computer. If you received the images via a USB flash drive or CD, insert the device into the computer, then click "Start" then "My Computer" (or "Computer"). Double-click the CD drive or the removable device icon. Click and drag the files onto the desktop of your computer.
-
2
Right-click the file and select "Zip" (or "Compress," depending on the operating system you are using). A zip software loads. If one doesn't, you can download a free trial version at WinZip.com.

3
Select a zip location for the compressed files to be placed, then click "Zip" (or "Compress"). The files are now zipped, making them smaller. If you want to extract the files again simply open the zip software back up, select an extraction location and click "Unzip or "Extract."
