How to Change AOL Basic Optimized for Your Computer

AOL Basic service is an Internet service that you can use to access the world wide web. Although Basic might be optimized for your computer, AOL has many different types of Internet service--with faster connection speeds, more room available for downloads and storage, and different properties suitable for home, business, or school email systems. Changing your AOL Basic to other types of AOL services can be done in one phone call.

Instructions

1. Call AOL customer support at 1-800-827-6364. (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 1 a.m.Eastern; Saturday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Eastern; closed all major holidays.)

2. Ask a representative about the various types of AOL service that are available in your area or for your type of computer.

3. Tell the customer service agent what type of service you are looking for and see if any types of service fit those needs.

4. Agree to the type of service you would like to have with AOL.
