How to Remove the Screen Insert on Harvey Vinyl Windows
Harvey windows are typically supplied with one of two screen options. The newest windows have a full screen while the older models use a half screen. Both are fairly easy to remove for storage during winter months or to allow for cleaning. Screens can be removed without the use of tools. Does this Spark an idea?

Full Screen Removal

Locate the side clips on the window. These clips secure the screen in place.

Disengage the clips and push them downward with your fingers. The clips will swivel out of the way.

Take hold of the pull tab located at the bottom of the screen and apply pressure upward on the screen. This will compress the tension clips on the top of the screen.

Pull the bottom of the screen away from the window frame, using the pull tab. With the tension clips compressed, the bottom of the screen will be above the screen track and will pull free of the frame.
Half Screen Removal

Lift the bottom sash of the window about 5 or 6 inches.

Push the screen upward so that it is 4 inches from the top of the window.

Release the sash latches at the top of the sash to free the top of the bottom sash. Tilt the window sash inward and allow it to rest on the window sill.

Lower the top sash of the window about eight inches and release the sash latches at the top of the sash. Tilt the window sash inward and allow it to rest on the lower sash.

Take hold of the top and bottom rails of the window screen and push it to the left to compress the tension springs. The screen can then be pushed outward and free of the frame.

Tips & Warnings
Half screens can be removed from the outside of the window, if accessible, by simply grabbing the screen rails and pushing the screen to the right to compress the tension springs.
