How to Attach Split Rings
Split rings are the universal attachment hardware for craftwork, fishing and jewelry making. A split ring is constructed of a spiraled wrapped wire. The spiral wrapped wire is opened and a hasp or other object is then slid into the split ring. After the object is installed, it will not fall from the split ring, unless you open the split ring to release the object. A a tool is designed for the sole purpose of opening a split ring, reducing the amount of time it takes you to fasten a hasp or other object with the split ring.
