How to Turn Water into Solid Balls

Ice can be molded into ball form easily.

Ice, the solid form of water, is an essential part of many beverages, as it keeps your drink cool long after it becomes exposed to a warm environment. With the right molds, water can be organized into a variety of ice shapes, such as fishes and hearts. Molding water into a ball form can be slightly more difficult, due to water's inability to maintain a ball shape. However, there are molds available that will mold any ice you have into a ball form.

• Ice ball mold

Instructions

1. Heat your ice ball mold by soaking the parts in hot water.

2. Place the bottom part of your mold on a smooth surface and place some ice on top of your mold's circular slot.

3. Place the top part of the mold on top of your ice, making sure the guide poles on the bottom part of your mold are inserted into the holes in the top part of your mold.

4. Wait for the top part of the mold to join with the bottom part, then remove the top part of your mold and extract your ice ball.
