How to Remove Mold in a Freezer
Mold is a common occurrence in many homes. Mold is not only unsightly, but it posses potential health hazards for those who come in contact with it and breathe in its spores. Mold thrives in damp and moist areas. These conditions make bathrooms, basements and even refrigerators or freezers the perfect breeding ground for mold. Things You'll Need
- Rubber gloves
- Safety glasses
- Dust mask
- Bleach
- Water
- Spray bottle
- Sponge or cloth
- Scrub brush
- Fan

Equip yourself with rubber gloves, safety glasses and a dust mask.

Combine 1 cup of bleach with 1 gallon of lukewarm water.

Pour water into a spray bottle and apply a thin mist to the mold. This will help prevent mold spores from spreading during the cleaning process.

Saturate a cloth or sponge in the bleach-water mixture.

Wipe the mold and surrounding areas. If needed, use a scrub brush dipped in the bleach-water mixture and scrub the area.

Rinse the area with cool water.

Allow the freezer to dry completely by leaving the freezer door open. Position a fan pointed at the freezer to speed up the drying time.
