Replace your garage door remote control battery quickly.

The Craftsman 53879 garage door remote control is the same as Liftmaster 81LM control, just with a different label. Changing the battery in your Craftsman 53879 is not difficult but may require that you reprogram the remote to the opener. The remote control will store the code in memory; however, the possibility exists that the code will erase if the battery has been dead for some time. The remote control uses a lithium battery, much like a watch battery, that is available at hardware stores and other places that sell batteries. Does this Spark an idea?
