  • Fine-grain sandpaper
  • Warm water
  • Small bucket
  • Murphy's Oil soap
  • Soft cloth

      Inspect the train pieces for any scratches, tears or chipped paint. Place fine-grain sandpaper in one hand and the toy to be repaired in other hand. Very carefully sand the damaged portions until they feel smooth. Repeat this action on all damaged parts as necessary.

      Place one cap full of Murphy's Oil in a bucket or large bowl. Add 6 cups of warm water to the bucket. Agitate the liquid mixture to blend.

      Place a soft cloth in the Murphy's Oil mixture. Squeeze out the excess liquid from the cloth. Gently wipe the wood, wheels, links and buildings in the Thomas and Friends train set. Using this same method, gently wipe the Thomas and Friends train table with cloth. Repeat wetting of cloth as needed between wiping.

Tips & Warnings

  • If paint color transfers to the cloth during the cleaning process, wipe more gently.

  • Never submerge or soak a wooden toy including the Thomas and Friends train set or any of it's components.
