How to Do Hair in a Bomb Twist
Bomb twists or bomb spring twists are an inventive and fun style of hair braiding that mixes neat twists with a natural curl pattern. A curly hair weave also may be twisted into natural hair to create bomb twists. The style is best for people with naturally curly hair that is non-straightened. The style can take many hours to complete, but can last up to two months, which is great for kids or women looking for a low-maintenance style. Does this Spark an idea?

How to Do Hair in a Bomb Twist
-
1
Wash and condition natural hair. Use a shampoo for curly hair to cleanse the scalp and hair before applying a moisturizing conditioner.
-
2
Untangle hair. While the conditioner is still in the hair, use a wide-tooth comb to untangle the hair before rinsing out the conditioner. Section hair into four equal sections.

3
Twist hair into small sections. Take one section (clip the other three away from your face), and run a dime-sized amount of curly hair cream through the hair. Use the rattail comb to separate a small section of hair away. This section can be about 1/4-inch wide. Split the section in two and begin to twist, overlapping each section over the other. Twist the hair about an inch or an inch and a half way down.
If you are using hair weave, take the 1/4-inch wide section and wrap a strand of weave around the base of the section (near the scalp). Begin to twist both the weave and natural hair together until you get about an inch or an inch and a half down the strand.

Secure twists. After each twist, rub the hair in between your thumb and forefinger before applying a dab of hair gel to secure. The rest of the strands should be left to naturally curl as they dry. Repeat until the entire section is twisted, then repeat steps 3 and 4 with the other three sections.

5
Dry the hair. You can allow hair to air dry or use a heated dryer.
