How to Play a Mac PowerPoint on Television
Your Macintosh computer can be viewed on your television by connecting it to your television's audio and video ports, which displays the desktop and acts as an external monitor. To view PowerPoint presentations from the computer, you'll need a mini-DVI to VGA adapter, a small device that usually comes with the computer. If you do not have an adapter, you can purchase one from the Apple Store online. In addition to the mini-DVI to VGA adapter, you'll also need an audio cable in order to listen to music or hear video playback. For televisions that use S-video, you'll need to purchase a VGA to S-video adapter.
