The PlayStation 3 video game console does not come with a headset out of the box, but you can purchase a Bluetooth-enabled PlayStation 3 headset to use with the console. 1
Re-sync the Bluetooth headset with your PlayStation. If the headset has not been used in awhile or has been drained of power completely, it will need to be re-synced with your console. See your owner's manual if you don't remember the sync process.
-
2
Turn off "High Quality" mode. this can be found in the "Settings" area of the PlayStation 3 console. If you do not have enough bandwidth, the high-quality mode can actually worsen the audio quality and make it sound "choppy".

Connect the headset to the PlayStation 3 and enter pairing mode. If the headset frequently falls out of sync you can register the headset with the console directly by connecting the headset to the PlayStation 3 via a mini-USB cord. When the pairing mode is initiated, the device will register with the console, resulting in a more permanent sync.
