How to Make a Funeral Door Badge Arrangement
A funeral door badge arrangement hangs on the outside of the deceased's front door to indicate that a death has occurred. Arrangements consist of flowers and a ribbon colored according to the death. A yellow ribbon indicates the death of a soldier, purple indicates the death of a child, and pink indicates a death from cancer. Ribbons also may be added to match the color of the floral arrangement. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Use hot glue to attach the frame. Attach the 19-inch FloraCraft floral foam ring to the 18-inch circle wreath frame. Use hot glue in thin strips along the metal frame and then rest it onto the back of the foam ring.
-
2
Flowers can be heavy. Insert floral wire through the foam and around the wreath frame. Flowers can be heavy, so it is necessary to ensure the foam is strongly adhered to the frame so that the arrangement does not fall apart. Add these wire connectors every two inches around the metal frame.

3
Insert the leaves one at a time. Insert springeri leaves one-by-one along the edge of the foam ring, close to the metal frame. Create two or three layers of springeri along the edge.
-
4
Cut the stems of the flowers. Cut the stems of all flowers chosen for the arrangement until they are approximately two inches long. Soak all stems in water with plant nutrients until they are ready to be used.
-
5
Spray the foam ring. Spray the entire foam ring moderately with water that has plan nutrients added to it. It is important not to saturate the foam, but heavily dampen it to keep the flowers alive.
-
6
Insert the lillies first around the foam ring. Keep symmetry in mind while organizing the flowers.
-
7
Insert the flowers. Insert the roses and carnations around the lilies.
-
8
Fill the remaining space. Fill the remaining space with forget me knots, baby's breath and springeri. Once you have completed this step, the wreath should be completely filled with flowers. No green foam should be seen.

9
Pin ribbon to the floral arrangement. Pin ribbon to the floral arrangement. Ribbons can be pinned across the front featuring sayings such as Mother/ Father, Beloved One and Best Friend. Ribbon can also be folded to form a bow and placed at the top or bottom of the wreath.

Tips & Warnings
Choose flowers that were favorites of the deceased person or match the color scheme of the current season for a personalized touch.
This same technique can be followed for artificial floral arrangements minus the water part.
Ribbon is purely an option and can be left off of a wreath completely.
Always pin a simple note to the wreath so that family and friends are aware who made it.
