How to Display Ribbons
Many children, young adults and adults get very involved in competitive sports. From dance, pageants and gymnastics to karate, equestrian events, dog shows and everything else, many people love participating in extracurricular activities. If you or your child is very involved in any sport there is a chance that you have a lot of award ribbons hanging around the house. Instead of keeping them in a box or displaying them in a shadow box somewhere, find a different, creative and inexpensive way to showcase the awards ribbons. Using a few simple home products, you can have all of the show ribbons hanging from anywhere.

1
Put a leather belt flat against any hard surface. Consider the bottom of the belt to be the end with the buckle.
-
2
Add a strip fabric glue to the back of your first ribbon. Glue the ribbon to the belt (about two inches from the top). Press firmly onto the ribbon to adhere.

3
Continue with all of the ribbons. You may need several belts. Keep all of the ribbons won from one particular year on the same belt. Continue to glue all of the ribbons until the last ribbon hangs just above the bottom of the belt buckle.
-
4
Purchase an engraveable, tiny plaque about 3 inches by 1 inch and have it engraved with the year in which the ribbons were won. These plaques can be purchased from any hobby and craft store.
-
5
Peel off the backing of the plaque and stick it to the end of the buckle.
-
6
Place a nail into the top of the belt, centered. Place the belt on the wall where you would like to display it. Hammer the nail through the belt and into the wall.
