How to Beat LEGO Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
The Empire Strikes back is one of the most highly regarded Star Wars movies, so it comes as no surprise that it was recreated as the second part of Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. In the Lego reimagining of the movie, you will be able to play as a variety of characters, including Luke Skywalker, R2-D2, Han Solo and others, travel to locales, such as Hoth and Bespin's Cloud City, and even pilot the Millennium Falcon. If you need some help navigating The Empire Strikes back, however, you can find some advice below.

1
Beat "Hoth Battle" by locking your snowspeeder's tow cable to the round objects marked by red lights, these objects are bombs that you will have to use in order to destroy any rocks that are blocking gates and white-colored walls. Destroy any probe droids that approach, as these will attempt to take bombs from you. Destroy AT-ATs by using your tow cable to immobilize them and then use bombs to finish them off.

2
Beat areas one, two and four of "Escape from Echo Base" by using bombs and generators to clear obstructions, including ice and debris. For the third area, you will have to assemble a cart in order to use it as a platform. Area six will require you to destroy five containers in order to uncover buttons. You will have to use your characters to activate four of the buttons and a box to activate the fifth button. For the final area, activate levers in order to release the tauntauns, assemble the gate to the Millennium Falcon, use one of the tauntauns to jump on top of the Falcon and then assemble the gun. Once the gun is assembled, the Falcon's ramp will lower and you can exit the level.

Destroy the blue asteroids liberally during "Falcon Flight," they will reward you with torpedoes and studs, the currency of Lego Star Wars. You will have to use torpedoes in the last three areas in order to destroy walls in asteroids in order to progress.
-
4
Raise or assemble bridges and ramps to progress through "Dagobah." When you do not assemble the bridges yourself, you will either need to find buttons or use the force to raise them, although you will have to use the Force on some plants in the final area in order to locate the parts used to build a rotator switch, which then raises a bridge.
-
5
Use R2 panels to progress through the first two areas of "Cloud City Trap." In the third area you will have to build a crane out of the pile that Darth Vader leaves behind after you defeat him and use it to retrieve R2. Once you reach the fourth area you will have to use the Force to activate a fan which Luke can then use to jump to a higher ledge. Have R2-D2 use the steam jet when fighting against Vader in the fifth area, R2 can activate the jet by using the panel at the top of a ramp. In the sixth area, the hatches stormtroopers are entering through can be closed by R2 if he uses the panels at the end of the room.

Begin area one of "Betrayal Over Bespin" by chasing Boba Fett. You won't catch him, but you will find R2-D2. You will have to use some R2 panels in order to progress, at the end of which you will find a garbage room containing C-3PO's parts. Once you reassemble C-3PO, you can make use of C-3PO panels. In the second area you will have to assemble and use a grapple point, which will take your human characters to a new level, where they can use a magnet to retrieve the droids. Your human characters will then have to grapple up to a second level, from where they can assemble a lever in order to get the elevator working for the droids. After this you will have to use R2 to float past a moving conveyor belt, at the end of which is a switch R2 can hold down in order to allow your other characters to cross the belt. The last obstacle is a barrier that only C-3PO cannot pass. Have one of your human characters jump over the barrier, use the nearby grapple point and shoot the object set high in the wall, which will fall down, destroying the barrier. The remainder of "Betrayal Over Bespin" is relatively straightforward, you only need to defeat several stormtroopers and escape to the Falcon.
