How to Open the Back of a Nikon F100

The Nikon F100 is an SLR camera with numerous features such as an LCD screen, auto focus mode, a centered weight and much more. The camera takes 35 mm film, which can be installed by opening the back of the camera. Opening the camera's back is a quick process, requiring only a few simple steps to complete.

Instructions

    • 1

      Power on the camera by turning the power switch.

    • 2

      Set the film speed to "DX" by turning the command dial if you are going to be inserting new film. If you are not changing film then skip this step.

    • 3

      Hold down on the camera back lock release, which is located on the camera back.

    • 4

      Slide the camera back release lever, located to the left side of the camera, downward. The back will pop off, revealing the film bay.
