Ghost Lily Planting Instructions
The ghost lily, also known as the tiny ghost lily, is an Asiatic lily that has a reddish purple, star-shaped flower with glossy green, lance-shaped leaves. The ghost lily grows best in USDA zones 3 to 10. The lilies grow 18 to 24 inches in height and are unscented. They are bred to grow in a flowerpot or a small plant bed and bloom every summer. Place approximately 1 to 2 inches of potting soil in a medium-sized flowerpot. Place a handful of all-purpose fertilizer on top of the potting soil and mix together.

Place the ghost lily bulbs in the pot about 1/2 inch apart. Make sure the bulbs are kept moist before planting.

Cover the ghost lily bulbs with potting soil. Fill the rest of the flowerpot up with potting soil and pack the soil firmly.

Water the ghost lily bulbs until the soil is very moist. The soil should never dry out but be careful not to over-water the lily.

Place the flowerpot in full to medium sunlight. The flower will bloom in late spring and summer.

Tips & Warnings
Plant lily bulbs in the spring or late fall.
Water the ghost lily thoroughly.
If you plant the lilies outside, be watchful for rabbits and slugs.
