How to Hang a Phone Cord Where Dogs Can't Chew it
Dogs enjoy chewing, and it's a given with puppies, who chew when they're teething, or just as a way to explore their surroundings. Chewing can not only be destructive, it can be downright dangerous when dogs chew on electrical or phone cords. The easiest way to prevent this is simply to restrict their access to the phone by closing the door or using a baby gate to keep them away from phone cords. If this isn't possible, you have several options for hanging phone cords so your dog can't reach them. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

1
Get on your hands and knees and look at your home from your dog's perspective. This will help you identify potential chewing dangers, such as hanging phone or phone charger cords.
-
2
Hammer a nail or hook into the wall above the phone and hang the dangling phone cord from it when not in use.

3
Gather up the cords and wrap them with tape or twist-ties to prevent them from dangling. Place them securely out of reach on a counter top, if the receptacle is at counter-top level.
-
4
Purchase some cord protectors, cord wrap or PVC pipe to protect phone cords that are plugged in low enough for the dog to reach. If your dog is large, make sure you get something that will withstand chewing by a big dog.
-
5
Tape lower portions of the cord along the floor or to the wall with duct or masking tape so the dog can't chew them.
