Coiled Wire Earring Directions
The simplicity of coiled wire appeals to many people. With coiled wire, there is no need for any embellishments beyond the beauty of the wire. Extensive tools are not necessary to coil wire into a simple spiral shape. Once you coil the wire, attach it to matching hook earwires and you have beautiful earrings that will fetch comments every time you wear them.

Instructions

1
Cut two three-inch-long lengths of wire with the wire cutters. Set one wire piece aside.
-
2
Hold one end of the wire piece with the needle nose pliers and begin bend the wire into a small loop.
-
-
3
Continue bending the wire, creating a spiral that builds from inner to outer dimension. After you have two spirals, hold the spiral loop flat with the chain nose pliers.
-
4
Feed the standing end of the wire around the spiral pressing it against the wound wire with your finger or thumb. Make the wire snug as it goes around the spiral. Reposition the chain nose pliers to grip the wire as you make the spiral larger.
-
5
Bend the wire straight up at a right angle after you spiral the wire three times or to a size that you prefer.
-
6
Create a small loop at the top of the wire with the needle nose pliers. Do not close the loop completely yet.
-
7
Insert the loop of one of the earwires into the loop of the wire. Close the wire loop completely around the earwire loop.
-
8
Repeat to make a second identical earring. Use the first earring as a guide to ensure the second earring is identical in size and shape.
